A Country Wedding

I'm so pleased to share this stunning shoot sent to me by the fabulous Hart Country Weddings. I caught up with Chloe to hear what she and the other suppliers had to say about the shoot, I hope you enjoy.....

Inspired by its rural location in Denton, North Yorkshire, Hart Country Weddings are a new and upcoming Wedding Planning Service, specialising in Luxury Country Weddings in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. The debut shoot, held within the stunning Country Estate of Oakwell Hall, aimed to showcase the brand’s “typical Yorkshire” themed weddings, featuring it’s trademark Bespoke Tweed Tailoring & Bridalwear, teamed with Wellies. The present shoot employed rustic decor, combined with a touch of elegance, reflected by the subtle colour scheme incorporated throughout; bold plum hues (Pantone 7658 C) contrasted against more muted lilac tones (Pantone 5165 C).
We have been fortunate enough to work with an amazing team of suppliers, all of which are experts within their fields, and excitedly await our next shoot at East Riddlesden Hall, ahead of our launch this summer.

Oakwell Hall is an Historic Grade I Listed Elizabethan Manor, set in 110 acres of Green Flag winning country park. The adjacent stone built 19th Century Barn is a unique blank canvas enabling you to customise your wedding and put your own personal style on the day.

Ceremonies can take place in either the Great Hall or The Barn. Beautiful rooms in The Hall, our walled period garden, courtyard and parkland make the perfect backdrops for your wedding photography, providing you with a lifetime of wonderful memories.

The look we were aiming for in the shoot was an urban style with our copper pipe backdrop to compliment the barn venue and other industrial pipework within the barn. The copper colouring softened the look along with the delicate copper wire lights used to add a little sparkle.
Twinkling fairy lights add movement and we added these to the ribbon and lace centre piece in the barn to draw attention as a focal point.
The illuminated bunting was in keeping with the tea party table wear as a traditional summer time celebration decoration.
We love to use lighting in order to accentuate focal points, illuminate dark corners and add depth and feeling to wedding photos.

There is a major trend coming through for ‘alternative' Bridal Bouquets and something very popular by up and coming brides is to ask the Floral Designer to choose Blooms to be carried as if they had been freshly picked. I chose the ever popular and beautiful Ranunculus for this shoot and carried that Ranunculus theme into the Gentleman's buttonholes mixing with the rustic foliage and Eryngium Aquarius (Thistle).

The Floral Hair trend shows no signs of slowing and is a popular request from many of my brides. Adding something special to otherwise a conventional up-do and a gentle hint of prettiness and uniqueness to your wedding. There are lots of options when it comes to using flowers as hair accesories and which you choose depends on your wedding stule. Wild and bohemian beds for a loose floral crown whereas an elegant English Rose may use spray Rose Buds. In this shoot I supplied the hairdresser with wired Lili-Anthus to use instead of using fascinators or hair clips and also supplied cluster of flowers too.

Once Upon A Dress are specialists in Bespoke Bridal Dressmaking and Remodelling. We understand that each bride is different and with over 25 years experience as dedicated bridal seamstresses we can offer you reassurance that your dress is in safe hands. We are here for each step of the process as a friendly face, offering a relaxed atmosphere. Whether it be a little tweak to your dress or a complete remake we are here to get the fit perfect for you.

I dressed our three bridesmaid models in blush dresses by Motee Maids to fit with the rest of the styling. I decided to go with Mix and match perfection! What’s great about these dresses are that they are perfect for allowing your maids to choose the neckline, shape and material which suits them whilst still abiding by the colour scheme and vision of your day. Choosing complimentary colours can really bring out the colours of the flowers, styling and add that little bit extra to the overall look and feel of your day.

We decided to highlight the polished combination of classic tailoring and fashionable style with this effortless look. The tailored fit gives a sleek silhouette whilst the single breasted waistcoat keeps the style traditional.

Soft smoky eyes using a mix of the sophisticate and the golden goddess eyeshadow palettes by Charlotte tilbury, complimented alongside a fresh natural glowy skin gave the perfect look for a romantic country wedding.
