One thing we love to do here at The Yorkshire Bridal is support fabulous Yorkshire wedding suppliers. It's my pleasure to introduce Emily from Emily K Weddings, she specialises in creating your unique wedding day.

''My services are bespoke and tailored to the wants and needs of each individual client. Take a look at my services page for an overview of how I can help you plan or style your dream wedding day!
Whether it’s styling, on the day coordination or help with finding the perfect venue, prevent the wedding overwhelm and get in touch for a chat or cuppa.''

We love to get to know who's behind the brand, tell us  about yourself

''I’m a Yorkshire girl at heart, down to earth but passionate about everything I do. After working as an Interior Designer in London for the past 6 years, I decided to move my creativity into the wonderful world of weddings and move me physically back to Yorkshire, and to say I absolutely love it would be an understatement. I believe that when you’re in love with what you do the results truly shine through. Design for me has always been about pushing the boundaries, focusing on the detail and creating something truly unique. For me, that’s a key part in creating your wedding day. I also love a good coffee and a gin - but who doesn’t?!''

''My background in interior design means I look at the wedding space differently, I like to consider the lighting, the zoning and details. All my planning and styling services come with a bespoke layout plan to communicate your wedding day to everyone, including wedding suppliers and bridal party. I love making things bespoke as much as possible and I love to find out a couples story to include details about them throughout their wedding.
To understand the world of weddings more, I gained a diploma qualification in wedding planning and styling from The Wedding Academy so I could bring the best level of service to future couples.
I like to think I’m not the stereotype wedding planner, I’m no J-Lo, (although jealous of her head set), I’m down to earth, relatable and just a girl doing what she loves to do. I got married in 2015 so I’ve got a been there, done that mentality so I totally get the emotions, the worries, the high and lows that are all part of the adventure when planning a wedding.''

What's been  your highlight to date?

''A wedding at Pennard House in Somerset last year was my highlight. It was lovely to see just how much I could help a couple bring their wedding day together. It was then I realised that’s really what it’s about or me and my business, it’s helping people have the most unforgettable day and for me to take any stress away by doing what I can to help them whether that’s planning, styling or been there on the day. Couples have busy lives already and sometimes there aren’t enough hours in the day for them to plan a wedding as well.''

What questions do brides ask you most often?

''Where to start! I have brides that are at all stages on their wedding planning adventure but mostly couples don’t know where to start or what to look for. Why would they if they’ve never been married before? Most brides haven’t been to many weddings before either so don’t know the etiquette or how to do things differently either. I find brides want reassuring and the confidence to bring all their ideas together.''

If you could give future brides one piece of advice, what would it be?

''Don’t stress and don’t think you can do it all because sometimes, it’s just not worth it. It’s not worth going to the venue of the morning to set everything up and getting stressed, just enjoy your wedding morning with your girls getting ready with bubbly and breakfast. Let me do the running around for you.
Also, don’t keep refreshing the weather forecast before your day. What will be, will be. Have a rainy day wedding plan in action that you love just as much as plan A and you won’t be disappointed. We live in England, be realistic.''

Thanks Emily for featuring on this weeks supplier in the spotlight, we love what you do here at The Yorkshire Bridal.
